    Description

    This is a very old thermometer that is still working, it may be registering slightly high.  I have seen them advertised as being from the 1890s.  It is blue glass is a obelisk shape.  It has an applied metal design of a deer and foliage on the front and a rose bud on each side. The thermometer is imbedded in the glass and the backing appears incomplete but that is how it was made.  It is about 5.5 inches tall.   I do not see any chips or cracks.  I do see some air bubbles and a few light scratches.  It has a metal applied design and some of the metal was dripped on the bottom.  It needs a little careful cleaning.  Please view the photos.
