    Description

Exact item shown, there are two ingots of CERROTRU alloy.  Detailed specs for all the alloys are here: http://www.csalloys.com/files/specifications.pdf
NOTE! you are buying both ingots as shown, one is 1#, 7.6 oz, the other is 1# 11.8 oz  so that is 2# 19.4 oz which is 3#, 3.4 oz.  this alloy expands
    .0005" Per
Inch as it cools.  this allows you to use the alloy to measure a mold or a rifle chamber and get a precise dimensional result.

Alloy is used to anchor shafts in permanent magnet rotors, locator members in aircraft assembly fixtures, metal parts in glass, magnets in fixtures.  Make nests for parts in jigs and dial feed stations; cores for electroforming; embossing dies, form blocks; joggle jaws; lost wax pattern dies; duplicate foundry patterns; tracer models in profiling.  Molds: For plastic; encapsulating; forming sheet plastics; plastic teeth, prosthetic development, potting electronic components; lead free low temperature solder.
    Formerly Known as CERROTRU Alloy
CS Alloys Tru 281 (containing Bismuth and Tin).
With the density of .315 lbs./In3 (or 8.7 g/cc), CS Alloys Tru 281 — a Eutectic alloy—is used to anchor shafts in permanent magnet rotors, aircraft assembly fixtures, metallic components in glass, magnets in fixtures. At the net maximum expansion of .0005" per inch and the melting temperature is 281 °F (or 138.0 °C), CS Alloys Tru 281 can also be used in a variety of manufacturing processes, where plastics are heavily involved, such as injection molding, encapsulating, plastic sheet forming, denture production, prosthetic development, potting electronic components and low-temperature lead-free solder. The CS Alloys Tru 281 contains Bismuth and Tin.
