Montblanc Great Characters Limited Edition Albert Einstein Roller Ball - New

Please read carefully:
For all collectors it is known that whenever Montblanc releases a limited edition pen the quantity of fountain pens is half the quantity of ball point or roller . That was applied for all Montblanc pens I've known since 1992 (Hemingway).
For Einstein the case is not similar. For unknown reasons Montblanc decided to reverse its production and limited the Einstein fountain pens for 3000 while the rollerball and ballpoint pens were limited for 1500 each.
It is obvious that for a same line of pens the fountain pen that carries a gold and platinum handmade nib is more expensive than the roller and ballpoint which don't carry a gold nib, that explains why the fountain pen was more expensive than the roller ball in the boutiques.
In the collectors language what is rare is what is more expensive eventhough if the original price was different. The rarity define the PRICE.
If you browse the ebay and the net you can find more than 5 Einstein fountain pens offered for a range of 15000usd but you won't find even 1 roller ball offered for sale.
That explain the reason why i went with this pen for 18000usd. Rarity plays its role here. The Einstein roller ball should be more valued than the Einstein fountain pen.
This roller ball is mint, was taken out from its box for picture purpose only. It carries the number 968/1500.
