VINTAGE PHARMACY ADVERTISING SILHOUETTE BETSEY ROSS FROM 1943

Description

Where to start to try to describe this antique silhouette?  The framed picture is 7-1/2" tall and 5-1/2" wide.  There is a picture of Betsey Ross sewing the American Flag.  This piece also has a thermometer on the front of the picture also with an advertisement for a local pharmacy.  On the back of the picture is the description of the "Birth of the Flag" giving the history of the 13 Colonies.  If you lift up the Birth of the Flag description, you will find a calendar from 1943.  This piece is in very good condition.  Quite a piece of history for the avid collector.  We googled the address of the pharmacy and it looks to be a Chicago address.
